Our helpline - here to advise and help you

The Colostomy Association is able to provide practical help, support and reassurance to ostomates, their carers, friends and families. We have over seventy volunteers, all of whom have had stoma surgery and have successfully completed our training programme. Our volunteers are able to chat on all aspects of living with a colostomy...... from travelling by air to going swimming. If you have had, or are about to have, a colostomy and have any concerns then please contact us. The advice we give is based on experience and is strictly non-medical. You can contact us at any time with a problem, no matter how big or small, we are always here to help.

The Colostomy Association runs a free telephone helpline, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Out of office hours the helpline is manned by specially trained volunteers who have all undergone stoma surgery. If you would like to speak to someone please call our freephone 0800 328 4257.

If you prefer to email us, please contact us at cass@colostomyassociation.org.uk and we will do our best to reply within 24 hours. We may ask if you would like one of our volunteers to contact you if they have experience that may help you.

Our contact with you remains strictly private and confidential. We will never pass on your information.  However, we may send you information on third party events which we think may be of interest.  For more details please refer to our privacy policy.
