Meet the Trustees
Sue Hatton_Chair Sue Hatton
Chairman - Cornwall

Sue is married to Neil and they live in a cottage on the Helford River in Cornwall and run 2 holiday lettings. Sue was a catering officer in the Army in Germany when she was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 1997. She had her first op in a German hospital followed by chemo and radiotherapy. In Dec 1998 Sue had a permanent colostomy and a hysterectomy. She irrigates! She has been a volunteer with the CA  for sveral years and runs a drop in support Group each month in Truro.


Ray_Goddard_Treasurer Ray Goddard
Treasurer - Surrey

Ray is head office manager as well as treasurer.  His wife Beryl has had a stoma since she was 5 years old.  Beryl helped to set up a support group attached to Frimley Park Hospital and has been a volunteer for the CA since early 2005. She now works part time in the office and on the helpline.


Robin_Mills_Trustee Robin Mills
Trustee - Hertfordshire

Robin went to sea as a Midshipman in 1943 and was part of the famous sinking of the German battleship the "Scharnhorst".
In 1984, Robin was found to have a rectal malignant tumour which resulted in a permanent colostomy.
Robin has been a volunteer with the Colostomy Association for over 20 years.
Robin is married to Daphne and has many children and grandchildren


Ernie_Hulme_Trustee Ernie Hulme
Trustee - North Staffs

Ernie has been married to Carol for 33 years.  
At 44, Ernie was diagnosed with low rectal cancer and after therapies had a colostomy.  Ernie's Stoma Care Nurse asked him to visit a patient 12 months after his treatment which led to him becoming a volunteer with us.  
Ernie loves to help people. He was the Founder member of the North Staffordshire "Outlook" (an Ostomy Support Group) which has membership of almost 300. 

Adrian_March_Trustee Adrian March
Trustee - Hampshire

Adrian is in his 70s. He enjoys an energetic life and therefore only admits to being 36!
Adrian had a colostomy in 1998, as a consequence of anal-rectal cancer.  After high dose radiotherapy he was clear of the disease, and was soon able to resume a normal life.  Resumption included returning to his favourite sport - powerlifting.  Adrian is now retired and living in France.
